We want to be known for our generosity—with both our time and money—toward those in our local community. We provide opportunities to share our hearts and the good news of the gospel where we live as we serve together.
how you can lend a helping hand:
Children's Summer Camp
Leader: Gioia Stover
The third week of July, we open our doors to 110-130 children in our community from Junior Kindergarten up to Grade 6 for a fun-filled half day summer camp. We rely on about 60 volunteers to pull off a safe and successful camp: donating food and craft items; creating decorations; setting-up and tearing down; serving as counselors and junior counselors (age 12 and up); running games, songs, Bible stories, crafts; and preparing snacks for hungry campers. Contact Gioia Stover to see how you can get involved.
The Big Give
Leader: Larra Milli
The Big Give is an opportunity for us to show God's love by giving generously to our community. On the first Saturday of June, Redeemer joins hundreds of churches across the country in The Big Give by donating and giving away household items and clothing in a free garage sale, hosting a free barbeque and kids' fun area. Get in touch with Larra Milli to see where you can help out to prepare for the next Big Give event on June 1, 2019.
Step into Christmas Pageant
Leader: Heather Lamarre
For two evenings in the first weekend in December, the parking lot at Redeemer is transformed into the town of Bethlehem as it was 2000 years ago - the night Jesus Christ was born. Hundreds of visitors take a tour on a trip through time and journey through the streets of the town, meeting its people and witnessing town life. It "takes a village" to build the town and put on this living performance! We can use your talents: praying for the production, making props and costumes, acting in the pageant, or making and serving cookies and cocoa. Contact Heather Lamarre to find out how you can help with this year's performance.
